Activities Coordinator

As the Activities Coordinator at Leeds Trinity University's Student Union, you'll play a pivotal role in ensuring that sports teams, societies, and student groups have everything they need for an exceptional co-curricular experience. From facilitating access to resources to organizing BUCS sports administration, you'll be at the heart of fostering student engagement. Additionally, you'll contribute to the success of major events like Welcome activities, Awards Evenings, GIAG activities, and Varsity, making each one unforgettable for our vibrant student community.

Main Duties and Responsibilities:

Clubs/Societies  

  • Communicate with external and internal stakeholders to organise friendly and BUCS fixtures. 

  • Ensure LTSU comply with BUCS rules and regulations. 

  • Ensure team transport is booked in advance of fixtures. 

Events 

  • Work with colleagues to plan and deliver Give it a Go activity. 

General 

  • Support clubs and societies to increase their engagement and impact by providing guidance, training, resources, support, and specialist knowledge. 

  • Support volunteers in the effective administration of their clubs and societies. 

  • Contribute to the effective management of volunteers through designing, developing and delivering effective recruitment, induction, training, support, and reward & recognition approaches. 

  • Coordinate and deliver initiatives to improve engagement from under-represented students in student groups, volunteering and events 

  • Responsibility for delivering activities within agreed budgets and ensuring funds are effectively managed. 

  • Developing and maintaining departmental processes that are functional, efficient, sustainable and are providing high quality support to student-led group and activities. 

  • Support volunteers with financial transactions. 

  • Identify and develop new partnership opportunities to empower clubs and societies to deliver increased student-led activities. 

  • To develop positive and productive working relationships with students, Trinity Fitness, Trinity Sport and other relevant University departments, supporting the delivery of student-led groups, opportunities and events across the University of Leeds Trinity. 

  • All work to be done in line with Union constitution, policies & procedures and appropriate Health and Safety, Insurance, Financial legislation and Data Protection. 

  • Adopt a flexible approach to work hours including evening and weekend 

Pay - £24,622.40 per annum 

Working Hours - 35 Hours of work, with a requirement to attend some evening and weekend meetings/events
