How do I register as a job seeker?

You can register by completing a form and submitting on the site. Go to register and complete with your details.

Why do you ask for diversity information when setting up an account?

We are committed to recruiting and retaining diverse and outstanding professionals to the full range of roles available across students’ unions / students associations and NUS. We particularly welcome and encourage applications from Black, Asian and minority ethnic backgrounds and women candidates. We ask that as many people as possible complete this form to help us understand the diversity of our talent pool. This information will be automatically anonymised and treated as strictly confidential. It will be used to provide statistics for monitoring purposes and to promote roles to you based on the diversity information you provide. You are not obligated in any way to complete all or any of the questions – you can either tick to skip the whole survey, or tick ‘prefer not to say’ for any individual question.

I don’t have time to apply now, can I save the vacancy to apply to later?

You can add vacancies to your shortlist to revise later.

I would like to be alerted each time a new vacancy for a particular role comes up?

You can set up job alerts direct to your inbox by registering on First, create a job seeker account with us, after that you can set up job alerts. You can add as many job alerts for different roles as you want.

If you need to remove an old job alert, just log into your account and click ‘remove’ next to the alert you want to delete.

I’ve found an inappropriate job vacancy on the site, how do I report it?

Thanks for spotting this! Please email and we’ll investigate the issue and get it sorted quickly.

How do I deactivate my account?

You can delete your account by logging in to your 'My Account' area, then go to ‘Close my account’  on the screen, then click on the button to confirm your action. This will remove your name, email, any bookmarks and any job alerts you have setup. Data is removed from our backups after 30 days.
