This site is the home of Careers in Students’ Unions. We know Students’ Unions are amazing organisations – part business, part charity – and all seriously fun places to work.

NUS Charity’s Careers in Students’ Unions site was created in 2017 with the aim of raising awareness about our unique organisations as great places to work, attracting and retaining outstanding people into our movement.

Annually the site sees over 44,000 visitors making it a great place for Students’ Unions to promote the huge variety of professional roles available up and down the UK.

Any NUS-affiliated students’ union / student associations can advertise a vacancy on this website. Non-members can also advertise a vacancy, but you may need to contact us first to add your Students’ Union / Student Associations to the employer drop-down list.  You must first set up a union profile by clicking ‘Register Now’ below. Your union profile is your chance to communicate to potential candidates and find out why they would want to work as part of your team. After setting up your union profile you can then add vacancies which are automatically linked to your profile.

As part of the JobBoard.com network, Careers in Students’ Unions is able to ensure that your job reaches the maximum possible audience of relevant job seekers.

Advertise your Trustee vacancies for free!

If you are a NUS Charity Member you can advertise your trustee vacancies completely free of charge, so we can give you the best support possible to recruit talented external trustees to join your boards.

Candidate Database

If you have a particularly hard-to-fill job, you may wish to search our candidate database.  The database contains CVs/resumes of candidates that have opted to make their details searchable on Careers in Students’ Unions site.

Featured Employer

To maximise your exposure with Careers in Students’ Unions you may become one of our featured employers.  This will give your company additional exposure on our home page and within our recruiter directory.  For information about this product, please contact us.

• Register your organisation and individual employer profiles on the site to advertise your job vacancies.
• Download the Employer brand messaging toolkit that explores the employer brand narrative developed with and for Students' Unions.  The toolkit takes you through how to adopt it within your own students’ union.

We also want to help you showcase the amazing workplaces that are students' unions, so we are always looking for stories to include on our Case Studies pages to help candidates to see the possibilities and opportunities in students' unions.
