Description

Royal Veterinary College Students' Union (RVCSU)

At the Royal Veterinary College Students' Union (RVCSU), we are dedicated to enhancing the student experience by providing comprehensive support, diverse activities, and robust representation for all RVC students. As we move into an exciting period of change, we are recruiting to fill a new structure and finalising our strategic plan for 2025-2028. This transformation will strengthen our ability to support students and enrich their university experience.

Our Mission

Our primary objectives are:

  1. Representation: Advocating for students' interests within the college and to external organisations, ensuring the voice of our members is heard.
  2. Enrichment: Organising social events and funding a variety of clubs and societies to make our members’ time at RVC enjoyable and fulfilling.
  3. Support: Offering resources and services to assist our members throughout their academic journey.

Our Future: A New Chapter

RVCSU is undergoing a period of transformation, shaping a stronger, more dynamic Union. With our new strategic plan for 2025-2028 in development, we are restructuring to better serve our members and create an impactful, student-led community of advocates not admins. We are actively recruiting passionate individuals to join us in shaping the future of RVCSU.

Services and Initiatives

  • Clubs and Societies: With numerous student-run clubs and societies, there's ample opportunity to engage in sports, hobbies, academic interests, and cultural activities.
  • Events: We host a variety of events throughout the year, including trips, workshops, and social gatherings, fostering a vibrant campus community.
  • SU Pantry: A hardship support service to enable our members to purchase essential food and toiletries, available confidentially both on and off campus.
  • Raising and Giving (RAG): Our charitable arm focuses on fundraising for selected charities through engaging events and activities.
