Newman Students’ Union are looking for someone who is passionate about representation and student voice, who is keen to play a crucial role in the development of a fantastic small and specialist Students’ Union.

As part of our new Strategy for 2024-27, the Union is strengthening its staff team in the areas of Voice & Support. As part of this focus, we are looking for an outstanding Student Voice & Advice Co-ordinator to build on the successes we have seen in our Academic Advice and Representation provision in recent years. 

This department will ensure that as our engagement continues to grow, we continue to offer outstanding, professional support to our Student Officers and Academic Reps, along with expert academic advice and support to our members.

We are looking for an outstanding individual to join us as Student Voice & Advice Co-ordinator to play a key part of this new team. This would be an ideal role for someone wishing to take the next step in their Students' Union career, where they will have the freedom and support to make a real difference right from the start.

Role Summary

As a key member of the Student Voice & Governance Department at Newman Students’ Union, the Student Voice & Advice Co-ordinator will provide high quality, independent advice to Newman students on a range of issues that may affect their academic progress and experience of University. They will support the elected Officers in their campaigning around academic and welfare matters, as well as the outreach work of the Union in promoting the range of support that it provides for its members.

Working as a team with the Student Voice & Governance Co-ordinator, the Student Voice & Advice Co-ordinator will have the opportunity to shape this  department and deliver timely and meaningful campaigns and initiatives that have a positive impact on student experience.
