About the role

An opportunity has arisen for a Student Communities Coordinator (Opportunities) to join Bath Spa Students’ Union at an exciting time in our journey, where you can develop your ideas and your future in a dynamic and supportive environment.

We’re looking for someone who is passionate about student belonging, empowering volunteers and supporting a range of extracurricular activities which enable students to build community. You will enjoy working alongside student volunteers and helping them to make the most of their university experience. The role is part of our student communities team which coordinates our representation, campaign and advice activities, all with the aim of providing opportunities for students to develop their confidence, to make their voice heard, to develop their skills and to address issues of loneliness.

About Bath Spa University Students' Union

We are progressive and ambitious organisation committed to developing an inclusive culture where everyone can thrive.

Our team isn't as representative of our student body as we would like it to be and we're particularly keen to hear from you if you identify as Black, Disabled, LGBTQ+ or have any other marginalised lived experience. It is important our students see themselves represented in our staff team.

You may not have worked in Students' Unions before and your experience may be from a variety of sectors but with 30 days annual leave, flexible working, a generous pension scheme and a range of employee benefits, this is a seriously rewarding environment to work in.
