Salary: £40,615 - £47,017

Hours: Full time (35 hours per week)

Reporting to: CEO

Accountable to: CEO/Board of Trustees/Students

Lead our Marketing & Communications charge!

Edge Hill Students’ Union is a campaigning charity, an educator, a social enterprise, a provider of bar, events, and retail experiences. We work with students for students.

We're searching for a change-maker, a strategic marketing and communications leader to join our team as the Head of Marketing and Communications. You'll be a passionate storyteller with a proven track record of developing and executing high-impact marketing campaigns that drive brand awareness, membership services engagement, and ultimately, revenue growth.

This isn't just a marketing and communications role; it's about shaping the narrative of our entire organisation and becoming a champion for our brand. You'll be a dynamic leader who thrives in a fast-paced environment, with the ability to develop, grow, inspire and motivate a talented marketing and communications team.

Are you the one we’re looking for?

If you're a marketing and communications genius with the following qualities, we encourage you to apply:

  • Marketing Master: You possess a minimum of 7-10 years of experience in leading and developing successful marketing campaigns across various channels (digital, traditional, etc.).
  • Strategic Storyteller: You have a deep understanding of the current marketing landscape and can translate complex information into compelling narratives that resonate with target audiences.
  • Data-Driven Decision Maker: You leverage data and analytics to measure campaign effectiveness and optimize strategies for continuous improvement.
  • Communications Expert: You have exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to clearly articulate ideas and inspire buy-in from all levels of the organisation.
  • Team Catalyst: You're a natural leader who fosters a collaborative and innovative work environment, empowering your team to achieve their full potential.

    Bonus points if you have:

  • Experience in a charity, campaigning, similar industry or B2B environment.
  • A strong understanding of brand storytelling and content marketing.
  • Experience building and managing high-performing marketing teams.
