AboutSunderland Students’ Union is an Education charity, dedicated to making the University experience of our members valuable for life. Every student registered on a course with the University of Sunderland is a member and we represent students’ interests in all areas of their University experience. This includes everything from representing students’ academic interests to offering welfare advice and support, from organising fun social activities to help build social capital to helping students to make a positive impact on the city of Sunderland. Our objectives are: YOUR Voice YOUR Course and YOU YOUR Place
Working with the Student Voice Manager, the Student Voice Coordinator (Representation) will play a key role in bringing students, Officers and other SU staff members together to ensure that student representation is high quality, impactful and effective.
The Student Voice Coordinator (Representation) will work collaboratively with Executive Officers and colleagues in the Student Voice team and wider teams.
Students at Sunderland should feel that Your Sunderland Students’ Union is their Union and that they are able to shape and influence its priorities and work. They should also feel that they play a key role in shaping and improving their academic experience and this role will coordinate work to ensure that student representation is embedded across the University.
