AboutSunderland Students’ Union is an Education charity, dedicated to making the University experience of our members valuable for life. Every student registered on a course with the University of Sunderland is a member and we represent students’ interests in all areas of their University experience. This includes everything from representing students’ academic interests to offering welfare advice and support, from organising fun social activities to help build social capital to helping students to make a positive impact on the city of Sunderland. Purpose of the role:
To provide strategic leadership, direction and drive in relation to the Students’ Union’s services, representation and opportunities for members. This role is critical in ensuring the Union is relevant to, and at the heart of, the lives of students. The post holder will shape a culture where students and student leaders can create positive change and is responsible for ensuring a breadth of high-quality opportunities and student development is at the heart of what we do.
