Sheffield Hallam Students’ Union is looking for two passionate and organised individuals to join its expanding Representation & Democracy team and help us to achieve our aim of leading the sector in Representation.
We are looking to significantly enhance our work on Academic Representation and the contributions of two new Representation Co-ordinators will be key in helping us to achieve our Vision.
As Representation Co-ordinator, you will be part of the team that is responsible for developing Sheffield Hallam’s Academic Representation model, working in partnership with the University and supporting and developing our Course Representative, Department Representatives and College Officers.
The ideal candidate will have some experience of delivering representational, democratic or governance activities and also have experience of working with volunteers and/or students. You will also have some experience of delivering events and activities and evaluating their effectiveness.
As the role also requires close partnership work with University staff, the ability to develop relationships and communicate effectively with a wide variety of audiences is crucial. Digital literacy is also important to support the Students’ Union’s Digital First strategy.

We offer generous paid holidays, flexible working patterns, a casual dress code and working environment and a commitment to training and developing all our staff.
