AboutThe University of Portsmouth Students’ Union is a vibrant, forward thinking organisation with a vision of delivering ‘a Positive Impact with every Portsmouth student’. As a charity led by our values and guided by our students, we do this by providing wide-ranging services and learner support to the 24,000 students of the University of Portsmouth. The Union is based in the centre of Portsmouth and turns over £1.5M per annum, employing approximately 60 staff. The post-holder will be an inspirational leader that exudes creativity and offers both strong project management and problem solving skills in the fields of business development, digital transformation, brand management and marketing communications. The post holder will understand how to build a business, at pace, from an agreed roadmap giving particular consideration to brand, commercial marketing and staff leadership. In addition the post holder will be confident in public relations management in both digital and traditional fields of communication.

The subsidiary trading company (PSUT) exists to maximise sustainable profit that benefits the Students’ Union in delivering its charitable objects. Exciting new trading activity commences in 2019.
