About

We have been supporting and representing students since 1971. Of course things have changed a lot over the years as the University of the West of Scotland has expanded and grown. We represent 19,900 students and work across five campuses, including Paisley (where our main Student Union building is located), Ayr, Lanarkshire, Dumfries and London. We were the winner of the NUS Scotland Student Union of the Year Award in 2019/20 and again in 2021/22.

Summary

The role of Digital & Communications Coordinator Coordinator at UWS Students’ Union is a unique opportunity to make the student voice heard.

Job Description

The successful candidate will assist each Union department in the creation of engaging, thought provoking, student-led campaigns, activities and events that aim to improve the quality of UWS students’ University experience.

Unlike a traditional Marketing and Communications role, Union messaging is tailored around the political / campaigning endeavors of our elected Student Officers AND the overarching needs of UWS Students. We have a diverse student population across five campuses in Scotland and London. The aim of the Communications & Digital Coordinator is to ensure that students from all UWS campuses are digitally engaged.
