AboutThe University of Nottingham Students’ Union exists to enable every student at the University of Nottingham to fulfil their potential, meet their aspirations and to have the most incredible time at University. Formally, we are a registered charity that acts as the recognised representative body of all students at the University, and every student is automatically a member free of charge. We support students to share and air their views on academic life and the wider University experience. The Union provides a huge range of social, cultural, sporting and recreational activities, including forums for discussions and debates, and opportunities for their personal development.
The Student Voice team is a multi-disciplinary team striving to positively influence key stakeholders (such as the University) to enhance all areas of the student experience.
Our Student Voice Coordinators are the first line of support for our students creating positive change. They work collaboratively to enable our student voice frameworks to support students to remain at the heart of the learning experience, to lead their student communities, and to empower students through democratic input to make their voices heard.
The ideal candidates would have experience of coaching or supporting others, along with demonstrable experience of working with and supporting volunteers. Experience of liaising with staff at all levels, excellent communication skills both written and verbal with the ability to build strong working relationships and the ability to work as an effective team member are also essential.
