Summary
The Finance Assistant will perform bank and till reconciliations accurately and on time, ensuring suppliers are paid in line with financial procedures. You will also support and develop the understanding of the student treasurers and non-Finance staff, empowering them to have greater knowledge of financial processes. You will have a relevant accounting qualification or be qualified by experience and have 3 years or more experience working in an admin or finance role.

The ideal candidate will have experience of all aspects of bank reconciliation; till and daily takings reconciliation; end to end management of purchase ledger system; approval process following financial procedures; reconciliation of clearing accounts to ensure accuracy and possess advanced Excel skills. An understanding of VAT and ability to apply the technical rules we must follow would be highly desirable, although not essential. If you are able to deliver excellent customer service, have experience of developing others, experience of using computerised accounting system and excellent organisational and communication skills we would love to hear from you!
