AboutLondon Metropolitan University Students’ Union (LMSU) represents the voice of students studying at the London Metropolitan University. In addition to this LMSU also provides a number of services and opportunities for students, including societies, sport, events, union volunteering, part-time work opportunities and media activity. The operational activities of the organisation are undertaken by a dedicated staff team, with oversight of the organisation coming from its Board of Trustees which, in turn, delegates a number of powers to Student Council and an Executive Committee of elected officers.
As the Operations Manager, you will support the handover from the current General Manager and the induction of a new CEO. You will take on day-to-day responsibility for the operation of the Students’ Union during a period of change including line management of its staff, currently a team of six plus student volunteers.
You will be accountable to the joint chairs of the Board of Trustees and will ensure that all the Students’ Union activities comply with relevant legislation and regulation and are delivered effectively within an allocated budget.
You will support the elected officers through the provision of training, support and advice.
