AboutUEL Students' Union provides advice, representation and activities for more than 13,000 members studying at two campuses in Docklands and Stratford. Both campuses have excellent transport links and a free inter-campus bus. We're currently undergoing a major transformation which has resulted in a restructuring of our staff team. We're currently recruiting eight new staff.
The head of marketing and insight will be responsible for transforming the Students’ Union’s approach to engagement with our members, clients and other stakeholders. This will involve using the new marketing and communications team to undertake meaningful communication with all our stakeholders and implementing new ways of working driven by an insight function which will build our understanding of members’ needs.
The new head will face some big challenges such as developing an engagement strategy which addresses engagement in all areas of our work, developing and rolling out a new brand for the Students’ Union, and building the Students’ Union’s profile among members and staff in the University and in our local communities. You will be educated to degree level or you will have significant equivalent experience in marketing, communications, research or similar. You will also have experience of developing and implementing engagement strategies. This would ideally be in a membership, not-for-profit or other similar organisation, but that is not essential. Students’ Union experience is not required.
