Working within the Marketing and Communications team, the role of the Web/IT Intern is to assist the IT Development Coordinator in the development, delivery and support of an increasing range of systems and processes.
The post holder will responsible for the management of the main YUSU website and subsites. You will have previous experience of creating/editing websites and will work with key stakeholders to collate, refine and implement content for the website. You will have the opportunity develop new skills/gain more experience in server side website development, primarily using the Laravel ecosystem.
YUSU is in the process of developing a long term digital strategy to ensure our systems meet the current and future needs of the organisation. Over the next 12 months, we will be tendering for and beginning to implement a new web platform which is expected to become the hub for all future systems development. The post holder will have an active involvement with the process allowing them to gain experience in project lifecycle. The post holder will also support first line support for IT issues within the organisation, liaising with suppliers and staff
The role will provide opportunities to become involved in and gain experience in team projects such as Freshers, Officer Elections, Roses and Summer Ball.
