AboutUWL Students’ Union is a non-profit organisation which provides services for the students of University of West London to support their education and help them to graduate, whilst having fun along the way. The Union is democratically led, and each year three students are elected by the student body to represent them and their views at senior leadership level. Our student officers are supported by a dedicated and professional staff team. Overall we employ over 120 people, including students, UWL graduates and lots of experienced staff from a heap of sectors and industries.
The Café & Catering Coordinator is a key role within the UWLSU Commercial team. The role is designed to support the provision of excellent food and beverage services whilst offering students value for money and the opportunities to work and socialise within out areas and well as leading and supporting a team with catering for conferences and events like our annual awards night.
We are looking for a creative, organised individual passionate about commercial development. You will have experience in working in the hospitality sector within a café and as well as knowledge and experience of catering for both small and large scale events / conferences and leading a large team. You will have experience of working effectively on your own initiative and working to tight deadlines. You will have a strong commitment to equality and diversity, understand the importance of positive working relationships, display high levels of self-awareness and empathy, and understand without a doubt that the union exists for its members.
