Our Community Team are looking for an approachable individual with a strong administrative and events skillset to join their team.
This role will support operationally and administratively community welfare and wellbeing campaigns, projects and events!
These could include:
Inclusive events during the annual Welcome periods, supporting student to settle in and make connections;
Wellbeing events and projects based on Students’ Union President priorities, e.g. activity and messaging for Feel Good February, exam destress interventions, World Mental Health Day, healthy eating, sexual health;
The Students’ Union’s Drugs and Alcohol Impact work; and
Other exciting student-led activity/ campaigns and projects as assigned by the Community Manager.
The Community Team here at The Students’ Union at UWE creates a sense of belonging for the UWE Bristol student communities.
The Community Projects Coordinator position would support building a sense of community by operationally delivering key events throughout year. Coordinate and support wellbeing events and projects such as feel-good February and world mental health day. Support The Students’ Union’s Drugs and Alcohol impact work, and administratively supporting all key campaigns/ events and projects as assigned by the Community Manager.
We are therefore looking for an enthusiastic, values driven individual with a strong administrative skill set and experience of coordinating and organising events/ projects/ campaigns and/or activity.

Location:
Based at Frenchay Campus- Bristol
The postholder will be required to work at, or from any of the Union’s establishments (Bower Ashton Campus, Glenside Campus etc) and be willing to travel within Bristol and the surrounding area.
Duration: 22 Month Fixed Term Contract
Hours Per Week: 37 Hours per week
Due to the nature of the role, must be able and willing to work outside standard office hours as and when required (with notice), including semi-frequent evening work and occasional weekend work for events/ activity
Grade: 3.1
Salary: £23,082 + Annual salary increases + Annual increment salary increases for your first three years’ (can be outlined within interview) based on full time hours (37 hours per week)
Holiday Benefits: 27 days annual leave + Bank Holidays & Closure Days (pro rata)
