BCUSU are looking for a Coordinator to join our Activities and Representation team, the focus will on planning events and working with society leaders to encourage society memberships.

Job Description

Birmingham City University Students Union (BCUSU) are looking for a Coordinator to join our Activities and Representation team, based at our City Centre & City South Campuses.  This is a temporary maternity cover contract – expected to be until early 2024.   You will be responsible for developing, supporting and working with some of our most engaged students including society leaders and student representatives.   You will be joining at time when we are preparing for our Welcome Week and your focus will be planning engaging events and working with society leaders to encourage society memberships and helping to support students as they start or return to University for the new academic year.   Our preferred candidate will have experience of supporting or facilitating the work of students or volunteers but the key attributes required are the ability to work well within a team, have good time management and be confident in approaching and engaging with students.

Principle purpose of job:

  • Delivery of agile managed projects to increase student participation in engagement activities
  • Develop Student Leadership, Activism, Student Group Development and Academic Representation
  • Administration support in the delivery of projects

£23,174 per annum

Hours

Full Time Contract – 35 hours a week

This is a temporary maternity cover contract – initially expected to be until early 2024
