AboutWe are an independent charity based at the University of Bath. We help students shape their experience so they get the most out of their time at university. We’re led by students in all that we do because we believe that makes for the best experience possible. We offer five key services: • Voice – helping students stand up, speak up and make their voice heard. • Experiences - making friends and memories that last a lifetime. • Groups - broadening horizons with our community of students. • Support – providing advice and support on student life. • Development - developing the skills students need to unlock their future. We employ more than 50 career staff and hundreds of student workers.
You will be responsible for working with our community volunteer groups and societies, as well as building partnerships with university faculties, charities and schools to advise and support with fundraising activities and to develop a range of volunteer opportunities with our students.
We are looking for someone with experience in fundraising, as well as an understanding of event management and mentoring volunteers to lead their own projects. You will also be required to market and promote student volunteering within the community.
You will be able to work independently and calmly under pressure yet work well as part of a team and have strong time management and interpersonal skills.
Reporting to the Volunteer and Societies Manager, you will be working as part of the Activities Team, linking particularly with one other Volunteer Co-ordinator, a Volunteer Administrator and a Societies Co-ordinator.
You will be part of a team that ensures our key services are student led and reflect our values.
