AboutWe are an independent charity based at the University of Bath. We help students shape their experience so they get the most out of their time at university. We’re led by students in all that we do because we believe that makes for the best experience possible. We offer five key services: • Voice – helping students stand up, speak up and make their voice heard. • Experiences - making friends and memories that last a lifetime. • Groups - broadening horizons with our community of students. • Support – providing advice and support on student life. • Development - developing the skills students need to unlock their future. We employ more than 50 career staff and hundreds of student workers.
We are looking for a proactive and self-motivated individual to join our Student Voice team to develop and support academic representation at The SU.
The Academic Representation Co-ordinator will co-ordinate a number of key activities throughout the academic year including online elections for elected representatives, training, ongoing support and recognition.
A core part of the role is to deliver briefings to student representative members of university committees, track and report on trends and update representatives on key issues in Higher Education to ensure an effective and informed student voice.
We are looking for someone with outstanding organisation skills, who can demonstrate excellent team working and the ability to work on their own initiative. Strong communication skills to a range of audiences will be needed to succeed in this role. Good knowledge of the Higher Education sector and previous experience of working with volunteers are essential and experience of working in a students’ union would be desirable.
For any enquiries about the role please contact Chloe Whittaker, Education Manager ([email protected]), however, please ensure that your application is submitted via https://www.thesubath.com/careers/
