Queen Mary University Of London Students’ Union, London, https://su.careers/?post_type=job_listing&p=2300, This is an exciting permanent role which will support the administration and development of Volunteering, Student Media, Raise and Give (RAG) and the Student Engagement Department at Queen Mary, University of London Students’ Union (QMSU). The role will support the Volunteering Coordinator and Student Activities Coordinator with the running of the departments and spend 0.2FTE on either of the Students’ Union Receptions.

The successful candidate will have a passion and enthusiasm for improving the student experience and have a positive attitude and commitment to providing excellent customer service. The successful candidate will have the ability to use their own initiative, be flexible when faced with a variety of impromptu tasks, and have experience of working with student groups.

QMSU represents and supports over 16,000 students who make up the diverse and vibrant student body at Queen Mary, University of London. The growth and development of community volunteering and fundraising is embedded in the Queen Mary Students’ Union strategic plan. We have 10 active volunteering Groups, 2 RAG groups that continuously raise over £30,000 each year and 7 Student Media Outlets who produce content. In addition many of our 200+ student group’s volunteer in the community fundraise and produce media content.

Finance Assistant – Income & Accounts Receivable

This role is a key part of the finance team. Duties will include the processing of all of the income from our array of food outlets and bars and maintaining a three company sales ledger.  As part of the role you will be interacting with students and other departments on a daily basis, strengthening the link between Finance and the SU community. You will be required to perform daily bank reconciliations and will be responsible for maintaining various balance sheet reconciliations.
