What does your role involve?

Through supporting campaigns, elections and democracy across our University I have the opportunity every day to help students be the change they want to see.

What’s the best thing about it?

You’ll never find a more creative and passionate bunch than students who fight for their education and their rights. Working as part of a student union / Student Association is fun, friendly and certainly keeps you on your toes.

How did you get here?

Whilst a student I was very involved with the Students’ Union / Student Association and University. After working for the university as a fundraiser for student projects, I applied for the Union role in the hopes of really understanding the needs of students in the current sector and helping them make the most of the opportunities available to them.

What’s was the most helpful piece of learning you picked up along the way?

To always give encouragement and boost confidence to help students realise their potential.
